Screen Print
Traditional silk screen printing, or serigraphy, is the subtle art of transferring an image onto a substrate using a mesh stencil, which we call screens. When printing t shirts we use a stencil that’s made from a fine mesh, stretched over a rectangular frame. Parts of this mesh are then blocked out to form a stencil, and that stencil is placed directly onto a t shirt. Next, ink is pressed through the mesh onto a t shirt. The parts that aren’t blocked will seep ink onto the fabric and form the print.
Each stencil can typically only hold 1 colour of ink, so if you have a colourful design you’ll need a separate screen for each colour in your design, and this is printed consecutively one after the other. This printing method is currently used commercially to print fabric, garments, glass and also superfine computer components like circuit boards.
1. Initial Order Details
First you start with our manager who will work with your very carefully to understand what is needed to best suit the order you require. Our team has 30 years experience within this industry and will strive to bring you the best possible results. Once you are happy with the solution have confidence that we will get it done in the most efficient way possible.
2. Pre-press ready
To be pre-press ready the job now will have to be designed or be split into artwork films depending on how many colours in the design. Then the screens will be made in one of our high end exposure units and allocated a time to be printed.
3. Printing
All our screen printing is done via manual press. We do everything by hand giving the attention and customer service standard each job deserves. The printing is then put through an oven and dried at a high temprature as to withstand years of washing.
4. Q.C
Our quality control is a two step process. once our printers have printed and counted your order. They inspect all garments for defects. The job is then giving to a final party that inspects the garments again
